Refills

We want your business... so in order to save you money and keep your basement from filling up with empty candle containers, we refill containers.

If you would like to have your container refilled, clean them and bring them to us - we will refill them with the scent of your choice for only $0.70 per ounce. For an 8 oz. container, the cost to refill is only $5.60. That’s a savings of $3.40 - almost half the cost of a new candle.

There will be an additional $2.00 per container cleaning fee for any dirty containers.

• The easiest way to clean your containers is to first burn the candle down to approximately ½”. Burning your candles lower than this can be dangerous.

• Set your oven NO higher than 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

• Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place your container upside down on the cookie sheet. If you have a lot of wax in the container, you may want to first set it upright to melt some of the wax, then pour it out and turn the container upside down - this way it doesn’t overflow from your cookie sheet. Do not leave the oven unattended!

• After the wax has melted and the wick holder is loosened or out, remove the container from the oven. Not all wick holders will come out, which is okay. Our wick holders are slim enough that we can still center the wick.

• Wipe out any residue with a paper towel and then clean the container with window cleaner. Throw any melted wax in the trash and never down the sink. Your container is now ready to be ready to be refilled with your favorite scent.

**Please note that if the containers that you bring back are not from Gingerbread Cottage Country Candles, we cannot guarantee their safety. Not all containers are created equal...some types of glass are not heat safe and pose a hazard. If there are any questions, please ask before requesting a refill. We are not responsible if other containers break during the process of refilling the container.

Also, if the container from another candle company, we would ask that as a favor to us, you remove the label, if possible, or put one of our hangtags on it. We’re proud of our candles and we want people to know that the great scent that they are smelling is coming from Gingerbread Cottage Country Candles!
